About Special Olympics Palm Beach County

Special Olympics Palm Beach County was founded in 1973 and has been growing ever since!

Special Olympics Palm Beach County is one of the largest Special Olympics programs in the State of Florida.  There are currently more than 1,000 athletes with mental disabilities enrolled and through active recruitment, our goal is to expand the local program to more than 1,200 participants in the next few years.

Special Olympics Palm Beach County has more than 150 coaches and close to 80 training programs.

As many as 2,500 volunteers assist annually with our programs.
